Family Practice Nurse Practitioner – Locum Tenens Opportunity in WA

Job description

Start Date: As soon as credentialed (within 4 weeks preferred)
Contract Length: 3 months, with potential to extend
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (40 hours/week, 1-hour unpaid lunch)
Setting: Outpatient ambulatory – Community Health Center

Position Highlights

Full-time assignment (40 hours/week)

Supportive team environment with:

Dedicated medical assistant for each provider

Receptionist, mental health therapists, and dietitians on-site

Onsite pediatrician and local healthcare administrator

EPIC EMR system

Serves a diverse patient population, including migrants and refugees

Interpretation services available onsite

Providers not required to be bilingual (Spanish or Russian preferred)

Clinical Details

Patient Volume: Up to 18 patients per day (varies with schedule and cancellations)

Patient Population: Newborns through geriatrics

Scope of Practice:

Primary care and chronic disease management

Walk-in and same-day appointments

Basic procedures (injections, IUD placement, minor wound care)

Provider Requirements

Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner

Active Washington State medical license (required)

Active DEA (WA registration required)

Minimum 2 years of FNP experience with recent face-to-face patient care

Recent experience with pediatric patients (within the past year)

Clean background; no malpractice history

BLS/ACLS certifications (as required during credentialing)

Must be COVID and flu vaccinated
