Pediatric Gastroenterology Locums Opportunity – TN
Start: January (ongoing coverage)
Coverage Needed: 2–3 weeks per month
Schedule: Inpatient & outpatient coverage, 7a–5p
• Tele-GI coverage may be considered for PM shifts

Practice Details:
• Busy Pediatric GI practice
• Average volume: 12–15 outpatients/day, ~5 inpatients
• Procedures on blocked half days (EGD & Colonoscopy)
• EMR: Epic
• Patient population: Pediatrics

Support Staff Includes:
• Primary RN
• CMA support for rooming (as needed)
• Nutritionists (2)
• Pediatric Care Navigation Program
• Psychologist

Team Structure (as of Jan 2026):
• 1 full-time Pediatric GI
• 1 full-time Pediatrician (lower-acuity GI/access support)
• 1 part-time Pediatric GI (inpatient & call coverage)

Requirements:
• Board Certified Gastroenterology
• TN license required (IMLC accepted)
• DEA (TN/VA) required
• BLS required; PALS preferred
• Must be comfortable performing scopes
• Minimum 2 years’ experience
• Clean background

Credentialing Timeframe: Up to 90 days
