Pediatric Gastroenterologist Needed In Tennessee

Coverage Type: Inpatient & Outpatient (TeleGI considered for PM coverage)

Schedule & Coverage

Coverage Need: 2–3 weeks per month

Block Scheduling:

Sunday–Sunday (7-day blocks)

10-day blocks may be approved if scheduling allows

Shift Structure:

24-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM

In-house clinic hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (10 hours)

Weekday night call: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Weekend call: 24-hour call (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)

TeleGI: May be considered for evening/PM coverage

Practice Setting

Busy Pediatric GI inpatient and outpatient service

Work Details

Support Staff:

1 RN (primary nurse)

CMA support as needed for rooming

2 Nutritionists

Pediatric Care Navigation Program

Psychologist

Department Overview:

1 full-time Pediatric GI

1 full-time Pediatrician (supporting access and lower-acuity GI cases)

1 part-time Pediatric GI (inpatient and call support)

Patient Volume:

12–15 outpatient visits per day

~5 inpatients daily

Procedures scheduled on blocked half-days

Patient Population: Pediatrics

EMR: Epic

Procedures: EGD and Colonoscopy

Equipment: Endoscopy scopes
