# Clinical & Teaching Responsibilities

## Resident Education & Faculty Leadership

* Serve as core faculty for an Internal Medicine Health Equity Track
* Supervise and mentor Internal Medicine residents
* Provide clinical teaching in:

* Primary Care
* Population Health
* Value-Based Care
* Health Equity-focused practice
* Participate in:

* Journal clubs
* Case conferences
* Resident workshops
* Lecture series

## Patient Care Responsibilities

* Deliver comprehensive outpatient Internal Medicine care
* Utilize evidence-based and value-based care principles
* Address social determinants of health and healthcare disparities
* Collaborate with:

* Care managers
* Pharmacists
* Social workers
* Behavioral health specialists
* Community partners

## Quality Improvement & Leadership

* Participate in quality improvement initiatives
* Support curriculum development and clinical process improvement
* Mentor residents in scholarly and research activities
* Assist with operational and population health initiatives

# Qualifications

* Completion of ACGME or AMA-approved residency REQUIRED
* Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine REQUIRED
* Active Texas Medical License preferred
* Providers willing to obtain Texas licensure considered
* Experience in academic medicine, population health, health equity, or value-based care strongly preferred
* Interest in resident education REQUIRED
* Strong collaborative and communication skills REQUIRED
