Neonatal and Nursery APP needed in California

Contract Length: 26 Weeks
Shift Details: 3 x 12
Schedule: full-time only, 3x12hr shifts per week, days/nights/weekends/holidays required
Work Details:
• Support staff: Physicians, Surgeons, APP colleagues, and other administrative staff
• Patient population/age: Neonatals; patients from birth to 1 year old
• Department description: either or both Level IV NICUs across 2 facilities, caring for all newborns and infants admitted to the ICN/NICU, needing surgery for heart, lung, gastrointestinal and other life-threatening conditions; may be cross trained to cover the newborn nursery
• EMR: EPIC
• Hospital bed size: SF NICU: 58; Oakland NICU: 38; Newborn Nursery: 10 or more/provider

• Skills required:
NP/PA will act as a member of the care team, taking primary responsibility for the safe delivery of care for inpatient newborns and infants. The locum will only work in the 58-bed Level lV Newborn ICU, and only with infants from birth to 1 year of age. (Note: The locum won’t cover ECMO patients since the NICU fellow covers them, but the locum could have the patient until and immediately after ECMO.) This team member will meet productivity expectations as set forth by the Division Chief, performing any duties related to patient care activities that are appropriate and clearly delineated.
