Job description

Aya Locums is seeking a Board-Certified Endocrinologist to provide ongoing outpatient coverage at a respected endocrinology clinic in Illinois. This assignment offers a consistent weekday schedule, no call responsibilities, and the opportunity to work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing exceptional endocrine care.

Assignment Details
• Start Date: September 2026
• Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Coverage
• Schedule: 2 weeks per month
• Call: No call required
• Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (8-hour day shifts)

Work Details
• Specialty: Endocrinology
• Practice Setting: Outpatient Endocrinology Clinic
• Patient Volume: Approximately 12–15 patients per day
• Patient Population: Adult & Geriatric
• Support Staff: Registered Nurse, Diabetes Educator, Dietitian, and 1 Advanced Practice Provider
• EMR: Epic
• Conditions Managed: Hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, Graves' disease, thyroid nodules, pituitary disorders, diabetes, and other endocrine conditions
• Procedures: Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) experience preferred

Requirements
• Provider Type: MD or DO
• Board Certification: Internal Medicine
• Fellowship: Endocrinology Fellowship Required
• State License: Illinois license required
• Certification: BLS required
• Experience: Comfortable practicing as the primary endocrinologist while collaborating with one APP
• Credentialing: Approximately 60 days, with temporary privileges potentially available within a few weeks for providers with a clean background
