The facility is supported by a clinical team that includes a medical assistant and a nurse practitioner, with the NP managing hospital-based patient encounters. Established clinical protocols are in place to support coordinated oncologic care delivery throughout the covered assignment period.

About the clinician's workday

Clinicians will provide on-site outpatient hematology and oncology coverage on a day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no call or weekend obligations required. The primary purpose of the on-site physician presence is to facilitate the administration of chemotherapy, with outpatient follow-up visits comprising the clinical workload; no new consults are expected. The clinical scope encompasses the evaluation and management of hematologic and oncologic follow-up cases for an adult patient population, with 12-14 patient encounters anticipated per day.
