Ortho Trauma Surgeon Needed in Ohio | Full-time needed but flexible - Overnight Call | Competitive Pay

Schedule
Monday–Friday, with flexibility based on provider availability
Onsite coverage
Typical hours: 6:00 AM–4:00 PM, with the exact schedule dependent on overnight call
Some call coverage is required, anticipated to be a couple of days per month
Full-time coverage preferred
LOA coverage may be needed for up to one year

Clinical Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive orthopedic trauma care
Coverage may include one or multiple trauma rooms
Primarily treat pelvis and long-bone fractures, with a focus on lower-extremity trauma (hip and below)
Patient population includes all ages, though the majority of patients are age 13 and older
Pediatric trauma is rare
Residents cover the Emergency Department; the attending physician will review imaging and provide oversight as needed

Patient Volume
Annual trauma volume ranges from approximately 350–475 patients, depending on the year

Procedures / Case Mix
Primary focus:
Pelvic fractures
Long-bone fractures
Lower-extremity fractures
Hip and below trauma

Not included:
Hand
Wrist
Spine trauma

Trauma Team & Support
3 Trauma Surgeons on staff
Approximately 3 PAs/NPs and 3 residents per shift
Other physicians within the hospital are available for additional support as needed
