Role Overview
Seeking experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for locum tenens coverage in West Bloomfield Township, MI. Operating within a hospital-based Level III Trauma Center, the CRNA will administer anesthesia for a diverse patient population across general surgical, specialized, and diagnostic procedures in a collaborative, team-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities & Clinical Scope

Anesthetic Care & Case Mix
Clinical Administration: Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care for both adult (90%) and pediatric (10%) patient populations across inpatient (20%) and outpatient (80%) settings.

Surgical Specialties Covered: General, Orthopedics, Neurology, Plastics, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, Vascular, Thoracic, Hand Surgery, Podiatry, Urology, Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology (IR), Cath/EP/TEE, and MRI.

Procedural Scope: Perform routine and advanced airway management and arterial line insertions. (Note: No open-heart cases; no nerve blocks/regional blocks required).

Volume: Facility manages an average of 35 operating room (OR) cases plus 20 offsite procedural cases daily.


Qualification & Submission Requirements
Mandatory Clinical Credentials
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of active post-graduation CRNA experience [REQUIRED].

Board Certification: Active NBCRNA certification [REQUIRED].

State Licensure: Active, unencumbered Michigan CRNA state license [REQUIRED at time of submission].

Life Support: Active ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) [REQUIRED].

Background: Clean background record with no recent disciplinary actions [REQUIRED].

Contract & Rate Constraints
Availability: Must commit to a minimum of 36 hours/week [REQUIRED].


Schedule & Assignment Terms
Assignment Duration: Locum tenens contract starting mid-December / early January

Shift Schedule: Day shifts | 36 to 40 hours per week (flexible mix of 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts; Monday – Friday)

Weekend Requirements: None

On-Call Requirements: Optional; call coverage is available if desired but not mandatory.
