# CRNA – Locum Tenens Opportunity

### Rural Hospital | 3-Month Contract | Option to Extend

## ⚡ THE HIGHLIGHTS

* **Specialty:** Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
* **Start:** ASAP, approximately 45 days from offer
* **Contract:** 3 months with option to extend
* **Coverage Need:** 2 CRNAs
* **Schedule:** Minimum 2 weeks/month plus 1 weekend of call
* **Weekday Shift:** 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
* **Weekday Call:** 3:00 PM–7:00 AM
* **Weekend/Holiday Call:** 24-hour coverage, typically 1:4
* **Response Time:** Must be able to respond to call within 30 minutes
* **Setting:** Rural hospital, 49 beds
* **Practice Model:** CRNA-only / independent practice; no physician oversight
* **Case Volume:** Approximately 3–5 cases/day
* **EMR:** Cerner/Oracle
* **Overtime:** 1.5× standard rate
* **Holiday:** 1.5× standard rate

## 🏥 PRACTICE & CASE MIX

The CRNA will work with **3–4 CRNAs per shift**, plus 2 pediatric CRNAs on Fridays.

The department includes:

* 4 core operating rooms
* Dedicated endoscopy room
* C-suite
* 1 flex room
* Da Vinci robotic surgery capability

### Procedures & Services

Experience with all of the following is required:

* Orthopedics, including total joints, spine, and sports procedures
* General Surgery
* Plastics, including cosmetic and reconstructive procedures
* Podiatry
* Obstetrics
* Ophthalmology
* General anesthesia
* Neuraxial anesthesia, including spinal, epidural, and combined spinal-epidural
* Nerve blocks

**OB volume:** Approximately 35–50 C-sections annually.

## 👥 PATIENT POPULATION

* Primarily adult and elderly patients
* Limited pediatric cases, primarily dental and laparoscopic procedures
* Pediatric experience preferred
* Rural healthcare experience strongly preferred

## ✅ REQUIREMENTS

* **NBCRNA Board Certification – Required**
* Active **Minnesota CRNA license – Required**
* DEA – Required
* BLS – Required
* ACLS – Required
* PALS – Required
* Neonatal Resuscitation certification – Required
* Minimum **2 years of CRNA experience**
* Nerve block experience required
* OB experience required
* General anesthesia experience required
* Spinal/neuraxial anesthesia experience required
* Must be comfortable practicing independently
* Must be able to respond to call within 30 minutes

## ⏱️ CREDENTIALING

* Credentialing approximately **45 days**
* Medical staff board meets at the end of each month

## 💰 COMPENSATION

* Competitive hourly compensation
* **Overtime: 1.5× standard rate**
* **Holiday: 1.5× standard rate**
* Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
* Weekend and call compensation available
