Locum Anesthesiology Physician job in Putnam, CT

Job description

Small community hospital in the quiet corner of northeast CT, in close proximity to the beautiful New England coastal lines, 40 minutes drive to Hartford, CT and Providence, RI, one hour to Boston and three hours to NYC.

Start: April 2026
Shift Type: 8 hr or 10hr
Weeknight - On Call (Pager): Required
Weekend - On Call (Pager): Required
Overtime Expected?: Yes
Regular days start at 7 AM and usually wrap up around 3 pm. MD calls are beeper calls and CRNAs cover the backup second calls.

Case Type(s): General , Ortho , OB , colorectal, cataracts, cystoscopy, ENT, GYN, podiatry, thoracic, GI, pacemakers, TEE, cardioversion
Credentialing timeframe: If CT license is in hand - 30-60 days, No CT license - 60-120 days
Open to Board Eligible candidates
Willing to license

Site Charting System: iPro, paper and pen
Number of Anesthesia Rooms: 5
Are MDs supervising CRNAs?: Yes
What is the CRNA to MD ratio?: 3/4
Are MDs doing their own cases?: Yes
