Location: Richmond, VA
Start Date: July 6, 2026
Assignment Length: 6 months

Position Overview
Seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist for a hospital-based assignment in Richmond, VA. This is a high-acuity, team-based environment within a Level I trauma center.

Schedule
* 8- or 10-hour shifts
* Start time: 7:00 AM (end time varies based on case completion)
* No call required
---
Practice Details
* Setting: Hospital (Level I Trauma Center with burn unit)
* EMR: Epic
* 30 operating rooms
* Collaborative care team including anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and administrative staff
* Anesthesiologists supervise CRNAs (no resident supervision required for locums)
---
Case Mix
* General surgery
* Vascular
* Orthopedics
* OB
* Neuro
* Endoscopy
* Dental
* Some transplant cases
* No pediatrics or ICU coverage required
---
Skills Required
* Proficiency in complex airway management (including fiber-optic techniques)
* Experience with arterial line and central line placement
* Ability to manage difficult IV access
* Strong ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment
---
Requirements
* Board Certified in Anesthesiology
* Active Virginia license (IMLC accepted)
* DEA required
* BLS and ACLS required

Credentialing
* Estimated timeframe: 60–90 days
* Willing to license (IMLC preferred)
