Job description

We are seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist to provide locum services in Kansas City, MO.
This is an excellent opportunity for an anesthesiologist looking for high-acuity, hospital-based coverage starting January 19, 2026.

🏥 Job Details:

Case Types: General anesthesia, orthopedic, neuro, trauma, OB, pediatrics; CV direct care required for some shifts.
Special Procedures: Ultrasound-guided blocks available; CV anesthesia experience preferred.
Setting: Acute care hospital; Level 1 Trauma Center.
Schedule:

Day shifts: 8, 10, or 12 hours (7:00 AM start, flexible)
Night shifts: 12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Weekend shifts: 24-hour coverage available
CV-specific shifts: Day and on-call options


Support: CRNA team provides OB and trauma coverage; anesthesiologists supervise CRNAs and perform CV direct care.
EMR System: Meditech and Medaxion.
Patient Population: Adults and pediatrics.


✅ Requirements:

Board Certification in Anesthesiology (BC required)
Active Missouri medical license (required)
Experience with trauma and CV cases strongly preferred
Familiarity with Meditech EMR
COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)


📋 Credentialing:

Estimated timeframe: ~90 days (temporary privileges may be available)
Peer reference form required
Additional facility-specific forms and verifications needed
