About the clinician's workday

The anesthesiologist will provide medical direction for comprehensive pediatric anesthesia services at this Level 1 Trauma Center, supervising certified registered nurse anesthetists across all pediatric surgical cases from neonates to older children. The clinician will work structured shifts including Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday with 8-hour coverage plus Wednesday 8-hour shifts, maintaining 100% medical direction with no hands-on patient involvement. Responsibilities include overseeing anesthesia care delivery, ensuring quality patient safety protocols, and collaborating with the anesthesia team of 9 MDs and 13 CRNAs. Board certification and prescriptive authority are mandatory for this position that operates without call coverage obligations.
