Anesthesiologist Needed in Northern North Carolina
Start Date: April 2026
Contract Length: Ongoing, 14-on/14-off rotation

Schedule

Day shift: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
On‑call required: 5:00 PM–7:00 AM every night during the 14‑day rotation
Rotation: 14 days on / 14 days off
Call response time: 45 minutes–1 hour
Includes nightly call and weekend call within rotation
Standard OR schedule; 10-hour day shifts


Practice Details

Acute care hospital
Staffing: 1 MD + 4–6 CRNAs per day
85% supervision / 15% own cases
ORs: 4–6
EMR: Epic


Clinical Scope

No trauma, no OB
~4,900 cases per year
Case types:

General
Ortho
GYN
GI


MD responsibilities: Pre‑ops, PACU oversight, boards, some blocks, floating/breaks
Must be proficient in spinals, epidurals, and regional blocks
Case logs required


Requirements

Physician – Anesthesiology
Board Certified
Active North Carolina license (no willingness to license)
ACLS, BLS, PALS, DEA required
COVID/Flu: facility-dependent
Prior experience supervising CRNAs preferred


Credentialing

Standard hospital onboarding
Full credentialing required prior to start


Location
North of Greensboro, NC — 14-on/14-off schedule with daily call coverage.
