Job description

Join a busy, well-supported anesthesia team at a 273-bed regional medical center in Virginia Beach, home to the area’s only Level III Trauma Center and an accredited stroke program. This locums assignment offers a strong clinical mix, flexible day-shift options, and the chance to spend your off days on one of the East Coast’s best oceanfronts.

Schedule & Call
• Daytime coverage only with 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts available
• Call required – weeknight and/or weekend pager call with a fair rotation
• Multiple openings – options to align shifts with your preferred pattern (blocks, stretches, etc.)

Case Mix & Clinical Environment
• Adult general anesthesia; pediatric exposure available but not required
• OB, spine, complex ortho, and complex vascular (non-cardiac)
• Cath lab and EP lab cases
• Regional anesthesia, spinals, epidurals
• Vent management, central and arterial lines
• No open-heart, no thoracic, no chronic pain
• Epic EMR; strong collaboration with surgery, trauma, and neuro services

Requirements
• Board-certified/board-eligible in Anesthesiology
• Active Virginia medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Comfortable with regional and neuraxial techniques and central/arterial line placement
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption as per facility policy
