Anesthesiologist Needed in Coastal Virginia
Start Date: March 2026
Contract Length: Ongoing

Schedule

Day shift: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
8‑ or 10‑hour shifts available
Weeknight call optional
Holiday shift and holiday call coverage needed
Standard OR schedule


Practice Details

Acute care hospital
Staffing model: 1 MD supervising 4 CRNAs
MDs supervise primarily; occasional own cases
ORs: 10 anesthesia rooms
EMR: Epic


Clinical Scope

Case types include:

General
Ortho
OB
Neuro
Urology
GYN
Endoscopy
Ophthalmology


Mix of supervision with some hands‑on cases
Case logs required depending on privileging


Requirements

Physician – Anesthesiology
Board Certified
Willing to License (open to candidates without a Virginia license)
DEA required
Additional certifications per facility standards
Experience supervising CRNAs preferred


Credentialing

Estimated privileging: ~30 days
Full hospital onboarding required


Location
Near Hampton Roads, VA — flexible shift options with optional call.
