Anesthesiologist Needed in Coastal Southeastern Virginia
Start Date: May 2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

50-hour work week
10- and 12-hour shifts (Monday–Friday)
Occasional overtime
Weeknight call required (7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
Weekend call required
Weekend in-house call (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) plus overnight 3rd call

Practice Details

Acute care hospital
Staffing model: MD supervision of CRNAs (1:3 ratio)
MDs supervise CRNAs
Charting: ICARE / Epic

Clinical Scope

Case types include:

OB
Orthopedics
Neuro Intervention
Vascular and Trauma
GI
GU
GYN
Thoracic
CVIR
MRI
Endoscopy
ACS
Minimal Pediatrics

Mix of supervision and hands-on as needed

Requirements

Physician – Anesthesiology
Board Certified
Active Virginia license required (no licensing offered)
DEA required

Credentialing

Estimated timeframe: 60–90 days
Full hospital onboarding required

Location

Coastal Southeastern Virginia — hospital setting within the greater Hampton Roads region, near the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic coastline.
