About the clinician's workday

The anesthesiologist will provide locum tenens coverage during day shifts at a large hospital operating room. Shift options include 8-, 10-, and 12-hour schedules, with a preference for 5x8-hour shifts; overtime is available after the scheduled shift. Case types include general anesthesia, cardiac catheterization lab, spinal, epidural, regional OB, spine, complex vascular, complex orthopedic procedures, ventilator management, and central lines. Call coverage is required, with clinicians expected to be available for weeknight and/or weekend call; the pager call ratio is 1 in 14, with the full call schedule pending.
