Cardiac Anesthesiologist – Pleasant Prairie, WI – Solo Practice

Job description

A hospital system in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin is seeking 2 FTE Anesthesiologists (MD/DO) with cardiac fellowship training and TEE proficiency. This is a solo practice model covering a mix of cardiac and general cases across multiple sites.

Compensation
$400–$450/hour

Wisconsin license preferred; IMLC candidates considered

Assignment Overview
Start: ASAP
Length: Ongoing
Schedule: Monday–Friday day shifts
Arrival 6:30 AM for 7:00 AM start
Standard surgical hours approximately 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Mix of regular shifts and call

Call Structure
Weeknight call: ~4:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekend call: 8:00 AM – 8:00 AM
Typically 1 first call and 1 backup call during the week
Weekend rotation includes first, second, and third call coverage shared among 3 providers

Practice Setting
Solo anesthesia model
9 Anesthesiologists / 2 CRNAs
EMR: EPIC
8–11 ORs running daily (7–8 blocks)
Outpatient GI center: 2 procedure rooms
Inpatient GI: 2 procedure rooms
Coverage includes:
Main hospital site
Surgical center
Digestive disease clinic

Case Mix
Cardiac required (not exclusively cardiac)
Cardiac surgery
Neuro
General surgery
Plastics
Pulmonary
Orthopedics
Spine
GYN
Urology
OB
Cath lab
IR
EP
GI
Providers are expected to cover the full case mix.

Requirements
MD/DO
Cardiac fellowship required
TEE proficiency required
Board certification preferred
Active WI license preferred (IMLC considered)
