Cardiothoracic Surgery PA/NP Locum Opportunity – Pleasanton, CA

Location: Pleasanton, CA
Start: May
Assignment Length: 6 months (minimum; longer preferred)
Openings: 3

**Schedule:**

* 12-hour day shifts: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
* Full-time commitment
* ICU night call: 1 night per week
* Weekend call: 1 weekend per month
* Clinic: 2 half days per week

**Practice Setting:**

* Small community hospital
* Coverage across ICU, OR, floor, and clinic
* Unique model managing patients throughout the full continuum of care

**Work Details:**

* First and second assist in the OR
* Pre- and post-operative patient management
* ICU rounding and clinical care
* Admissions, discharges, and care coordination
* Ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies
* Patient and family communication, education, and quality initiatives

**Skills & Preferences:**

* Experience with vein and artery harvesting preferred
* EVH and/or RAH experience strongly preferred (target EVH time ~30 minutes)
* Please include harvesting experience and average vein harvest time at submission
* Open to OR-focused or ICU rounding-focused providers

**Requirements:**

* Graduate of an accredited PA program (NP/RNFA also considered)
* Active California license required
* BLS certification required
* DEA required

**Credentialing:**

* Temporary privileges available (~30 days)
* Full credentialing: 3–4 months
