Locums Cardiology NP or PA Needed in Newton, MA

Job description

• Schedule Details: Monday- Friday; 4x10s from 8a-6:30PM

Work Details:
• Support staff: 10 MDs, 4 PAs
• Practice Setting: hospital
• EMR/Charting Software: Epic
• Avg. Daily Census: 5-6

Requirements:
• State License(s): MA
• DEA Req’d?: yes
Credentialing Timeframe: Standard is 3 - 6 months. Depending on volume at MSO. They are targeting about 180 days currently.

General Cardiology—Inpatient only. The reason for the need is Maternity Leave starting August 1. The staffing coverage is 2 or 3 PAs with 1 attending physician. The locum would be seeing new consults and follow ups. No procedures. The consult service is for hospitalist team. There is no dedicated cardiac unit. Ther is a mix of patient care and care coordination.
