Cardiology NP/PA Needed in Asheville, NC:
Start: Aug 2026
Available Shifts:
Day Shift Opportunity:
• 7a–7p inpatient cardiology coverage
• Mostly rounding, consults, admissions/discharges, and daytime care coordination
• Step-down and cardiology unit patients
Night Shift Opportunity:
• 7p–7a overnight cardiology floor coverage
• Non-ICU coverage focused on overnight floor management and cross coverage
Practice Details:
• 12-hour shifts, no call
• Cerner EMR
• Inpatient cardiology and step-down patients
• Support from Hospitalist Medicine, Cardiology, Pulm CC, and CV Surgery teams
• Responsibilities include rounding, consults, admission H&Ps, discharge planning, progress notes, event notes, and ordering medications/testing/procedures
• ICU procedures when indicated may include arterial lines, central lines, and cardioversion
Requirements:
• Active NC License required
• Active NC DEA required
• Comfortable managing inpatient cardiology patients
• Experience with consults, admissions, and discharge management preferred
• Procedural experience with arterial lines, central lines, and cardioversion preferred
Additional Details:
• Ongoing coverage need
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 60–90 days
