Locum Cardiologist needed in Connecticut

Location: Connecticut,
Need: Locum Non-Invasive Cardiologist
Rate: Hourly
Start Date: September 2026
Duration: 6 months with option to extend
Schedule: 1–2 weeks per month, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, call potential for weeknight/weekend
Setting: Outpatient Cardiology Clinic & Inpatient Hospital
EMR: Clinic: Athena in clinic, MedSeries4 in hospital


What You'll Do
Provide a mix of outpatient clinic and inpatient cardiology care
See approximately 17 patients per day in clinic
Perform required procedures including:
-Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE)
-Nuclear Stress Tests
-Cardioversions
Collaborate with three Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and hospital staff
Support continuity of cardiovascular care across clinic and hospital settings
Participate in inpatient call during assignment weeks as call responsibilities are implemented (anticipated weeknight and weekend call)

Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
Active Connecticut medical license (or ability to obtain)
DEA and current ACLS certification
Experience performing TEE, Nuclear Stress Testing, and Cardioversions
Clean NPDB preferred
