Facility:
This is a well-established health system facility featuring a Level II Trauma Center with a high-volume cardiac catheterization lab performing approximately 4-6 procedures per day. The facility utilizes EPIC for both inpatient and outpatient care and offers strong support infrastructure, including a dedicated non-invasive cardiology team that handles hospital rounding responsibilities.

Board Certified - Interventional Cardiology
Job Details:
- Locum tenens coverage for Interventional Cardiology with potential for locum-to-permanent opportunity
- Approximately 1.0 FTE coverage, with openness to utilizing 2-3 physicians to collectively cover the need
- Schedule consists of 4-5 shifts per week, including 2-3 clinic shifts and 2 cath lab shifts
- Approximately 1-2 weeks of coverage per month, depending on the number of physicians available
- Must be comfortable providing both inpatient and outpatient coverage
- Weekday call: Approximately 1 night of call per weekday during assigned coverage
- Weekend call: 1 weekend on-call shift during assigned coverage
- Call ratio approximately 1:6; call type is beeper/phone call
- No general cardiology rounding responsibilities - hospital rounding is covered by the non-invasive cardiology team
- Patient population: Adults age 18+, with approximately 60% inpatient and 40% outpatient mix
- Clinic volume of approximately 18-20 patients per day depending on mix of new and established patients
- EMR: EPIC for both inpatient and outpatient care
- Support APP training efforts within the Interventional Cardiology specialty
- Board Certification in Cardiology required
- Interventional Cardiology fellowship required
- 1-5 years of experience required
- Active Michigan License or IMLC required
- BLS, ACLS, and DEA certifications required
- Estimated credentialing timeframe: approximately 90-120 days
- Travel expenses covered including airfare, lodging, and rental car or mileage at current IRS rate
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
