Locum Non-Invasive Cardiologist | Inpatient Consults & Rounding | 7 On/7 Off | Saratoga Springs, NY

Job description

Start: October 19, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 13 weeks (open to extension)
Coverage: Inpatient cardiology consult service - hospital rounding Monday-Sunday during assigned week
Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off (every other week); daytime coverage approximately 7:00-17:00; option to cover 1-2 weeks per month
Call: Overnight call 4 nights per 7-day block - one weekday night (Mon-Thurs) plus Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights; call-back required
Volume: Average daily census 18-25 adult patients
Practice Setting: Acute care hospital, adult inpatient only; 5-cardiologist practice, no satellite locations
Procedures: Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE); no interventional or cath lab work

Inpatient cardiology consults and daily hospital rounds
Management of acute cardiac conditions
Interpretation of non-invasive cardiac studies including echocardiograms, routine stress tests, EKGs, and non-invasive vascular studies
Perform TEE as clinically indicated
Documentation in Epic, with MUSE and GE Centricity (CCW) for cardiac studies

Requirements
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
Active New York license and DEA required
Comfortable practicing independently on an inpatient consult service
Experience interpreting non-invasive cardiac studies and performing TEE

Support: 2 Advanced Practice Providers weekdays, 1 APP weekends; on-site laboratory and X-ray services
