Cardiologist - TEE Focus | No Call | Mon-Fri Days | Germantown, TN | 13 Weeks

Job description

Start: September 1, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 13 weeks (open to extension)
Coverage: Scheduled hours only - no call
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00-16:00; approximately 20 days of coverage per month
Volume: Approximately 10 patients per day - 8-10 TEEs, 2 tilt table exams, and 2 cardioversions
Practice Setting: Acute care hospital, 320 beds - cardiac cath lab and pre-procedural area
Procedures: Transesophageal echocardiography, tilt table testing, cardioversion
Population: Adults and geriatrics
Support: Hospital RN staff and hospital anesthesia group

Responsibilities:
- Perform transesophageal echocardiograms in the cath lab and pre-procedural area
- Perform elective cardioversions
- Conduct tilt table studies
- Collaborate with hospital nursing and anesthesia teams on procedural care
- Documentation of procedural findings and interpretations

Requirements:
- Board Certified in Cardiology (general cardiology)
- ACLS required
- DEA required
- Active Tennessee medical license required
- Structural heart training preferred but not required

Credentialing:
- Client may opt for emergency privileges for this position, as exceptions may apply

• No call - straight Monday-Friday day shifts, 7:00-16:00 in the cardiac cath lab and pre-procedural area
• Predictable case mix: ~8-10 TEEs, 2 tilt table studies, and 2 cardioversions per day; full RN and anesthesia support
