Position Overview
Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgeon needed for short-term 24-hour call coverage in an inpatient setting. Coverage is call-only with no clinic responsibilities. Must be comfortable performing both cardiovascular and thoracic procedures.

Assignment Details

Start Date: March 28, 2026 (7:00 AM)

End Date: April 6, 2026 (7:00 AM)

Coverage Type: 24-Hour Call Only

No clinic coverage

Practice Setting

Inpatient

Level II Trauma Center

EMR: Meditech

Clinical Volume

Approximately 10–12 patients per week

3–5 consults per 7-day period

1–3 surgeries per week

Typically 1 cardiac case

2–3 thoracic cases

Support Staff

1 APP

1 RN

1 MA

1 MOS

Requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery

Active Utah license – Required

Utah DEA – Required

Must be proficient in both cardiovascular and thoracic surgery

Credentialing
