Facility:
This well-established medical center is a 250-bed facility featuring 30 ICU beds and serves an adult and geriatric patient population. The facility offers strong team support with other Interventional Cardiologists present during locum coverage and utilizes EPIC as its documentation and EMR system.

Physician - Interventional Cardiology

Job Details:

• Provide locum Interventional Cardiology coverage in an inpatient/call setting
• Schedule includes onsite weekday coverage Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• On-call weekday evening coverage Monday through Friday, 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• On-call weekend coverage Saturday 7:00 AM through Monday 7:00 AM
• Potential for some rounding responsibility with approximately 2 inpatient admissions per physician per day
• STEMI call is aligned with unassigned call and noninvasive coverage
• Procedures required include Balloon Angioplasties, Coronary Angioplasty, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), Heart Catheterization, Medical Management of Vascular Disease, Coronary Angiograms, Embolic Protection, Carotid Artery Stenting, and Atherectomy
• Must be able to provide at least 50 case logs within the past 12 months for interventional cases
• Board Certification required
• Active Virginia state license required
• BLS and ACLS required
• Clean malpractice history required
• A Self-Query NPDB report required at time of presentation, pulled within 30 days
• Emergency or Temporary Privileges credentialing pathway
• Travel reimbursement provided for flight, hotel, and rental car
