Locum Cardiology - General & Electrophysiology | Bellingham, WA | 9 Months | Hospital + Clinic

Job description

Start: November 2, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 9 months (approximately 36 weeks)
Coverage: General Cardiology (.25 FTE) and Electrophysiology (.5 FTE) across hospital and clinic
Schedule: 10-hour day shifts, 7:00-17:00; one week per month of General Cardiology coverage
Call: Anticipate 2 weeknight calls during a one-week stretch, plus potential 24-hour weekend call as needed
Volume: 8-10 General Cardiology patients per day; 247-bed facility, average daily census of 10
Practice Setting: Hospital (General Cardiology) and hospital + outpatient clinic (EP)
Procedures - EP: Full spectrum from pacemakers to ablations
Procedures - General: Cardioversions and TEEs, approximately 2-4 TEEs per shift

Rounding and admissions for General Cardiology inpatients
EP consultation and procedural coverage across hospital and clinic
Perform cardioversions and transesophageal echocardiograms
Collaborate with APC support available Monday-Saturday
Timely documentation in Epic

Requirements
Board Certified in Cardiology and Board Certified in Electrophysiology
Washington license required - IMLC accepted, willing to license depending on start date
Minimum 1 year of experience
ACLS and BLS required
Epic charting experience required
COVID-19 vaccination required - no exemptions
Case logs required: documentation of cardiovascular disease services representative of the scope and complexity of privileges requested within the previous 24 months; EP candidates must document 100 electrophysiology cases within the previous 24 months
Hospital privileges required for General Cardiology; both hospital and clinic privileges required for EP

10-hour day shifts, 7:00-17:00
One week per month of General Cardiology coverage
Call: 2 weeknight calls per one-week stretch, plus potential 24-hour weekend call
8 hours of paid orientation
