General Cardiologist | Inpatient & Outpatient | 1:6 Call | Longview, WA | 26 Weeks

Job description

Start: September 14, 2026 (orientation September 8, expected start September 9 - or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 26 weeks / 6 months, 1.0 FTE
Coverage: Scheduled hours plus call - both inpatient and outpatient
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00-17:00
Call: 1:6 - one week of call every sixth week; Monday-Friday evening weeknight call plus 24-hour weekend call Saturday and Sunday
Volume: Average daily census 13; approximately 13 patients per day
Practice Setting: Acute care hospital (134 beds) plus affiliated cardiology clinic
Procedures: Invasive cardiology and cardiac CT or CTA
Rounding and admissions: Both required
Population: Adults 18+
Support: Provider will not work solo
Orientation: 8 hours of non-billable orientation provided

Responsibilities:
- Outpatient general cardiology evaluations, consults, and follow-up
- Inpatient rounding, consults, and admissions
- Perform invasive cardiology procedures
- Interpret cardiac CT/CTA studies
- Documentation in Epic

Requirements:
- Board Certified in Cardiology
- ACLS required
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Active Washington state license required to meet the start date - IMLC accepted if letter of qualification is already in hand
- Both clinic and hospital privileges required
- Epic charting experience required
- COVID-19 vaccination required - no exemptions

Credentialing:
- Standard credentialing: approximately 90 days from application submission; client may run emergency or expedited privileges depending on role exceptions
- Temporary privileges: 120 days | Standard privileges: 1.5 years
