Non-Invasive Cardiology inpatient service / WISCONSIN

Job description

Coverage: Inpatient general cardiology, 24/7 coverage with rounding + call
Starting once credentialed
Schedule: M-F (Starting at 7a)
Physician rounds with 3 APPs
Daily rounding ends after all patients are seen, typically 4–5 PM
Night call begins 6:00 PM
Saturday: Rounding starts 7:00 AM; call until 6:00 PM
Sunday: Rounding + call; call provider covers until Monday 6:00 AM
1 weeknight NOC + 1 weekend NOC per 7-day block
Some ECHO reading required
Team: 1 physician + 3 APPs; intensivists, RNs, and cardiac imaging techs available
Volume: ~7–22 inpatients/day
Patients: Adults
EMR: EPIC
Clinical scope: Non-invasive/general cardiology, including ACS/chest pain, CHF, HTN, dyslipidemia, AF/arrhythmias, valve disease, EKGs, stress tests, ECHOs, Holter/event monitors

Requirements:
MD/DO
Board Certified in Cardiology
General Cardiology fellowship
Cardiac imaging preferred/accepted
Wisconsin license
BLS + ACLS
DEA
Minimum 2 years’ experience
Must supervise APPs
Credentialing: ~90 days
Licensure: Willing to license
Trauma Level: II
Travel covered: Airfare, hotel/lodging, rental car, mileage

• Scheduled + On Call required

• General cardiology inpatient service model with ECHO and EKG interpretation/readings.
