Enjoy a predictable 7-on/7-off schedule with this long-term Non-Invasive Cardiology locums opportunity in Madison, Wisconsin. The role combines clinic and inpatient cardiology with strong APP support and an ongoing need through 2027.

Assignment Details
Location: Madison, WI
Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off
Mix of clinic and inpatient service
Call: Approximately 1 weeknight + 1 weekend night per 7-day block

Schedule:
Week begins Monday at 7:00 AM
Weekday inpatient rounding generally ends around 4:00–5:00 PM
Clinic hours: approximately 8:15 AM – 3:30 PM
Saturdays begin at 7:00 AM and end once rounding is complete
Sundays consist of rounding and/or call
Coverage block concludes Monday at 6:00 AM

Practice Setting:
General / Non-Invasive Cardiology
Level II Trauma facility
Adult patients only
EMR: Epic
Inpatient census ranges approximately 7–22 patients/day
Outpatient volume averages approximately 15 patients/day when clinic coverage is needed

Clinical Scope:
Inpatient cardiology rounding
Chest pain / ACS
Heart failure
Hypertension and dyslipidemia
Atrial fibrillation and other arrhythmias
Valvular disease
EKG and echocardiogram interpretation
Treadmill, nuclear, and echo stress testing
Holter/event monitor interpretation

Support:
3 APPs rounding alongside the physician
Intensivist and nursing support
Cardiac imaging technicians
Physician must be comfortable supervising APPs and managing a shared team caseload

Requirements:
Board Certified in Cardiology
General Cardiology fellowship
Cardiac Imaging experience preferred
Minimum 2 years of experience
Wisconsin license required – licensing assistance available
DEA required
BLS and ACLS required

Credentialing & Travel:
Credentialing: Approximately 90 days
Emergency credentialing assistance may be available
Airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage covered
