Mental Health Therapist
Job description
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive mental health services, including individual, group, and family counseling, to diverse populations. This role involves conducting diagnostic evaluations, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapies to promote mental well-being. A strong understanding of behavioral health principles and a commitment to patient-centered care are essential for success in this role.
Duties:
Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-10 coding standards.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans incorporating modalities such as psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and behavior management techniques.
Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions addressing issues such as grief, addiction, PTSD, gender issues, and developmental disabilities.
Utilize crisis intervention skills to manage acute mental health episodes effectively.
Document all clinical interactions accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain detailed medical records.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management and ensure holistic patient care.
Engage in ongoing clinical research and data collection to improve therapeutic outcomes.
Offer specialized support for populations including children, geriatrics, individuals with autism or disabilities, and those experiencing chronic pain or trauma.
Provide telehealth services to expand access to mental health care across different locations.
Experience
Proven experience in clinical counseling, behavioral health, or related fields within outpatient or inpatient settings.
Demonstrated expertise in various therapeutic modalities such as motivational interviewing, social work, special education, and working with people with developmental disabilities.
Experience working with children, pediatrics, geriatrics, or individuals with autism spectrum disorder is highly desirable.
Familiarity with crisis management protocols and crisis management tools is essential.
Prior experience utilizing telehealth platforms is preferred.
