Clinician – Early Relational Health (Residential)
Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Early Relational Health, the Clinician provides relationship-based, trauma-informed clinical care to residential parent and child dyads ages 0 to 5. This role includes assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of evidence-based interventions within an interdisciplinary team to support a safe and therapeutic environment for families.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct relationship-based assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide individual, dyadic, group, and family clinical interventions
• Support pregnant and postpartum residents with childbirth preparation, birth planning, and newborn care
• Utilize relational frameworks including Brazelton Touchpoints, ARC, and other attachment-based approaches
• Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
• Participate in discharge planning and referrals for ongoing family support
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries
• Present cases to the interdisciplinary treatment team and collaborate with internal and external providers
• Support and coach residential staff to meet individualized family needs
• Participate in staff meetings, clinical training, quality improvement, safety initiatives, and research activities
• Flexibility to participate in rotating on-call responsibilities as required
Minimum Education and Experience
• Master’s degree in counseling, education, social work, or related field
• Active and unrestricted New Jersey license required (LSW, LAC, LCSW, or LPC)
• Minimum of two years of experience in mental health or residential treatment settings
• Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches to addiction and family systems
• Post graduate training or certification in Early Relational Health or related field preferred
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to changing community needs with professionalism and compassion
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license and ability to meet safe driving requirements
