Nurse Practitioner Emergency Department
Job description
Title: Nurse Practitioner – Emergency Department (any state license is ok)
Place of Work: Crownpoint Healthcare Facility, Crownpoint, NM
(May include satellite clinics Thoreau or Pueblo Pintado Health Clinics)
Will be assigned to the any one of the facility
Start Date: 1 to 2 Months
Shift Hours: 8–12 hour shifts, typically between 8:30 AM – 9:00 PM; including weekends and holidays
How many shifts needed per month: Approximately 15–17 shifts per month, based on coverage requirements
License: Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license from any U.S. state or territory
Experience needed: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Emergency or Ambulatory Care settings
Certifications: BLS. ACLS, DEA, AANP or FNCP - Required. PALS - preferred
Special Skills needed:
Skilled in managing diabetes, hypertension, and other chronic conditions
Competent in minor procedures (suturing, splinting, I&D)
Proficient in triage and urgent care assessments
Strong charting and EHR documentation (RPMS)
Effective communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary staff
Credentialing / Onboarding time: Estimated 6–8 weeks.
Responsibilities:
Provide acute and chronic care in the Fast Track Emergency Department and outpatient clinics, manage same-day appointments, perform minor procedures, and document patient care accurately in RPMS. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure high-quality, culturally sensitive patient care.
EMR: RPMS
- Any state License works
- Indian Health Service facility
- BLS. ACLS, DEA, AANP or FNCP - Required. PALS - preferred
