NP/PA Emergency Medicine – Locum Tenens – Sunnyvale, TX

Job description

A growing community hospital in the Sunnyvale, TX area (Dallas metro) is seeking NP and PA candidates to join an Emergency Medicine start-up program for a long-term locum tenens assignment beginning July 15, 2026. This is approximately a 6-month assignment with potential for extension. The provider rate is $110/hour, with travel coverage and a full-time schedule available.

The Setting & Schedule:
This is a 70-bed community hospital with a Level 4 Trauma designation, currently running an MD + APC staffing model with an average patient volume of approximately 2.4 patients per hour. The ED uses the Cerner EMR system. Shift options include day (8a–5p), swing (10a–10p), and night (5p–2a). Temporary/emergency privileges will be granted, and the assignment is open to APCs with 1–3+ years of Emergency Medicine experience.

Requirements:
• Active TX license (or willingness to obtain)
• Board Certified (NCCPA or NCCNP); will consider Board Eligible candidates with experience
• ATLS and PALS required
• Prior ED experience strongly preferred
