This hospital is seeking locum tenens gastroenterology coverage for its inpatient service. The facility maintains anesthesiologist support and the clinical infrastructure necessary to manage a high volume of GI bleed and related gastroenterology cases. Coverage is provided on a 24-hour call basis.

About the clinician's workday

The gastroenterologist will provide inpatient gastroenterology coverage during 24-hour call shifts, managing a patient population in which approximately 80% of cases involve GI bleeds. ERCP proficiency is preferred for this assignment. Anesthesiologist support is available to assist with procedural cases. Board certification in Gastroenterology is required for this on-site inpatient position.
