Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist for locum coverage beginning January 2026. This role provides GI coverage at a Level 1 hospital with a 434-bed facility, using EPIC EMR in Columbus, OH. 

Assignment Details
•     Contract Length: 1–2 weeks per month (minimum 7 consecutive days)
•     Shift Details: 7a–3p procedures + beeper call coverage
•     Patient Population: Adult
•     Credentialing: Temp privileges offered; streamlined process

Required Procedures
•     ERCP (150 in past 2 years)
•     EUS
•     Esophageal/Duodenal/Luminal stent placement (20 in past 2 years)
•     Colonoscopy with/without polypectomy (100 in past 2 years at initial appointment; 150 at reappointment)
•     Diagnostic & therapeutic EGD
•     Esophageal dilation (balloon/bougie/savary)
•     PEG placement
•     Flexible sigmoidoscopy
•     Argon plasma coagulation
•     Biopsies (esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon)
•     GI motility studies & 24-hour pH monitoring
•     Nonvariceal hemostasis (upper/lower)

Requirements
•     Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
•     Active OH license (IMLC preferred; licensing candidates considered)
•     DEA required
•     ACLS certification required
•     Moderate Sedation exam completion (≥80% accuracy)
•     Minimum 1 year experience
