Gastroenterology Physician - ERCP | Inpatient GI | Level II Trauma Center | Springfield, OR | 26 Weeks

Job description

Start: November 2, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 26 weeks (currently approved through 4/1/27)
Coverage: Inpatient gastroenterology - 1 physician needed every day, 24/7/365
Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00-19:00
Call: Required - evening/night call 19:00-7:00 following day shifts, including weekends
Volume: Average ~14 patients per day; average daily census ~10
Practice Setting: Acute care hospital, Level II trauma center - inpatient only
Procedures: ERCP and inpatient gastroenterology procedures
Rounding, new consults, and procedures: All required
Population: Adults
Support: Dedicated inpatient GI PA Monday-Friday (second APC being added); specialty consultants and outpatient GI colleagues accessible
Orientation: 8 hours of non-billable orientation provided

Responsibilities:
- Inpatient gastroenterology rounding and new consults
- Perform ERCP and other inpatient GI procedures
- Coordinate with specialty consultants and outpatient GI colleagues as needed
- Documentation in Epic

Requirements:
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- ERCP strongly preferred - strong non-ERCP candidates may be considered, though ERCP is the primary need
- ACLS required
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Oregon state license required - client is willing to license; existing licensure preferred for a faster start
- Epic charting experience required
- COVID-19 vaccination required - no exemptions

Credentialing:
- Standard credentialing: approximately 90 days from application submission
- Temporary privileges: 120 days | Standard privileges: 1.5 years
