Locums – Physician – Gastroenterology, Eastern Tennessee Region

Coverage Type: 24-Hour Call, Inpatient Only

Schedule:

24-hour call shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM next day

Provider will float between two sister facilities

Inpatient rounding in the morning, procedures performed in Main OR or Endoscopy Suite depending on assignment

Work Details:

Support Staff: None

Department Description: 24-hour inpatient GI coverage at a Level 3 trauma center. Cases include GI bleeds, abdominal pain, food bolus, elevated liver enzymes, and other urgent gastroenterology needs.

Patient Volume: ~8 patients per day

Patient Age Group: Adults, varies

EMR/Documentation System: Epic

Procedures: ERCP required; procedures performed in OR and Endoscopy Suite

Practice Setting: Hospital / Inpatient

Requirements:

Board Certification: BC in Gastroenterology required

State License: Tennessee required

DEA: Required

Certifications: ERCP required, BLS

Additional Requirements: Clean background, vaccine exemptions accepted with proper medical documentation

Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days
