Locum Gastroenterologist - Outpatient Clinic + Call | Full-Scope Endoscopy & ERCP | Seguin, TX

Job description

Start: August 24, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 13 weeks, with option to extend (3-6 months available)
Coverage: Outpatient clinic 3-4 days per week plus scheduled call
Schedule: 8-hour day shifts within a 7:00-17:00 window; 3-4 weekdays, flexible on which days
Call: Non-restricted call evenings/overnights following clinic shifts; must be within 30 minutes of the hospital
Volume: 10-15 procedures per day; average daily census of 10
Practice Setting: Outpatient clinic with acute care hospital support
Procedures: ERCP, EGD, colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy - full scope less EUS

Outpatient GI consultations, treatment planning, and follow-up
Endoscopic procedures across the full scope of general gastroenterology
Non-restricted call coverage for the acute care hospital
Timely documentation in Athena One (clinic) and Meditech Expanse (hospital)

Support staff includes front office personnel and a dedicated medical assistant. Patient population spans adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Requirements
Board Certified in Gastroenterology
Texas license required - IMLC accepted; open to licensure
ACLS required
Minimum 1 year of experience
Comfortable practicing across two EMR platforms

Clinic 3-4 days per week, 8-hour days
Non-restricted call after clinic shifts; 30-minute response radius
Credentialing: temporary privileges possible within 2 weeks for a clean file; otherwise approximately 90 days
