Position Overview
Long-term, part-time Gastroenterology coverage needed for a hospital-based practice. Provider will work two weeks per month with primarily inpatient responsibilities and call coverage. Opportunity for limited outpatient clinic coverage as needed.

Assignment Details

Start Date: March 1, 2026

End Date: March 31, 2027

Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call

Seeking 1 locum provider

Schedule

2 weeks per month

7:00 AM – 7:00 PM inpatient coverage

Night call after shift

24-hour weekend call during assigned weeks

Possible 1 outpatient clinic day per week (returns to hospital to complete 12-hour shift)

OT applies after 12 hours per day

Trauma Level III

8-bed department

Adult patient population

Average 1 patient per shift

Support Staff

2 RNs

2 MAs

2 APPs (PA/NP)

Required Procedures

Upper GI endoscopy (biopsy, fulguration of bleeder, foreign body removal, variceal injection)

Esophageal dilation and manometry

Small bowel biopsy

Lower GI endoscopy

Flexible sigmoidoscopy

Colonoscopy (biopsy and polypectomy)

EMR

EPIC

Requirements

Board Certified

Washington license or IMLC required

Credentialing Timeline
