Gastroenterology Locums | Bellingham, WA | Inpatient & Outpatient | Epic | 2 Openings | 13 Weeks

Job description

Start: November 2, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed - ASAP start preferred)
Length: 13 weeks (requisition approved through February 21, 2027)
Coverage: Scheduled clinic and hospital coverage with an on-call requirement
Schedule: Day shift, Monday-Friday; no weekends except when on call
Call: 14 hospital call shifts per month; 24-hour call with clinic assistance in the morning
Volume: Approximately 4 patients per day in the morning when on call (M-F); average daily census of 4
Practice Setting: Outpatient clinic plus 253-bed hospital
Procedures: Endoscopic and GI procedures across inpatient and outpatient settings

Outpatient gastroenterology evaluations, treatment planning, and follow-up
Inpatient rounding, admissions, and consults
Perform GI procedures within scope of privileges
Timely documentation in Epic
Work collaboratively alongside the existing gastroenterology group and support staff

Requirements
Board Certified in Gastroenterology
Washington license required (open to licensure - candidates obtaining a Washington license prior to start will be considered)
Minimum 1 year of experience
Epic charting experience required
COVID-19 vaccination required - no exemptions
Additional certifications as required by the medical staff office

Credentialing: Standard credentialing runs approximately 90 days from submission of the application; temporary privileges are available for up to 120 days, and expedited or fast-track credentialing may be an option in some instances.
