New Locums Opportunity in Charleston, WV - Gastroenterologist - Willing to License

Job description

Aya Locums is seeking an experienced Gastroenterologist in Charleston, West Virginia.

-Start Date: October 1, 2026
-Contract Length: 6 months
-Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Clinic coverage, 2–3 weeks per month (multiple providers will be considered)

Practice Setting:
-Hospital-based outpatient practice
-No inpatient beds
-No call required

Position Details:
-Average of 9 advanced GI cases per day
-Adult patient population (18+; average patient age is 58)
-Focus on advanced gastroenterology, including ERCP and EUS procedures
-Outpatient schedule consisting of ERCP and EUS procedures with support for urgent inpatient cases as needed
-Two advanced GI APPs perform preliminary patient evaluations before physician scheduling
-EMR: Cerner

Required Procedures
-ERCP (general and therapeutic)
-Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)

Requirements
-Board Certified in Gastroenterology
-Active state license required (IMLC candidates and providers eligible for West Virginia licensure will be considered). Willing to license qualified candidates.
-DEA required
-BLS and ACLS certifications required

Credentialing: Approximately 60 days
