Locum Hospitalist | 7-On Blocks, 12-Hour Shifts | Anchorage, AK | Closed ICU, No Procedures

Job description

Start: January 4, 2027 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: Ongoing
Coverage: Inpatient hospitalist medicine
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 6:00–18:00 or 18:00–6:00; 7 consecutive shifts, preferably 2 weeks per month; days, nights, and weekends
Call: Rotating call within shifts
Volume: 18–22 patient encounters per provider; overall census 90–95
Practice Setting: Acute care hospital with closed ICU

• Inpatient admissions, rounding, and discharges
• Closed ICU with intensivist coverage
• No procedures required
• Documentation in Epic
• Phone interview with site directors
• Travel covered: flight, lodging, and rental car

Requirements
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine (ABIM) or Family Medicine
• Active Alaska license required (must already hold)
• Must be flexible for days, nights, and weekends
• Temporary privileges may be available for clean files
• Credentialing: approximately 90 days
