Locum Tenens Hospitalist

Job description

Start Date: June 16, 2026
Assignment Length: 6+ months (through December 2026)
Schedule: 7 on / 7 off (Tuesday 7PM – Tuesday 7AM)
Setting: Inpatient hospital (night coverage only)
Position Details:
Nightshift covers house census of ~90–105 patients (includes ICU)
8–15 admissions per night
Team includes 1 attending, 1 APP, and 1 FM resident
Surgical residents handle central lines; ER assists with codes
No required procedures
EMR: Meditech

Requirements:
MD/DO – Board Certified in Internal Medicine (or FP with extensive IM experience)
Active Kentucky license or IMLC
BLS & ACLS certifications
Must commit to 7 on / 7 off schedule
Minimum 6-month commitment required
Must provide 3 supervisor references within the last year
Compensation & Logistics:
Pay Rate: $225/hour
Travel, lodging, and rental car covered
