Job Description: Medical Oncologist
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 26 weeks (through the end of 2024)
Shift Details: Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
Call Schedule: No call

Work Details:
• Support Staff: 3 APPs, Nurses, Patient Care Coordinator
• Patients per Day: 14-16 patients per provider. APPs handle hematology new consults and follow-ups. Medical Oncologist manages new oncology consultations and some follow-ups. Average of 4 new cancer patients per day and 1-2 hospital consults.
• Patient Population/Age: 18 years and older
• EMR: Epic and Beacon (Required)
• Department Description: Outpatient Oncology Clinic and Infusion Center

Skills Required:
• 2 years of experience as a Medical Oncologist
• From August 27 to September 6, must supervise 2 APPs in the outpatient clinic and 1 APP in the transfusion center. Supervision of chemotherapy administration is the most complex part, but other infusion services are also administered.

Practice Setting: Outpatient Clinic and Infusion Center

Requirements:
• Board Certification: BC in Medical Oncology required
• State License: Yes, will consider an active IMLC
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
• Minimum Experience: 2 years as a Medical Oncologist

Credentialing Timeframe: 30-60 days
