• Patients per day: 10-13
• Patient population/age: Adults
• Department description: A central focus of our practice is on the early diagnosis and management of lung cancer and we are often involved in the initial procedures and work-up prior to hand off to our surgical as well as medical and radiation oncologic colleagues. The procedures we perform in clinic include pleural procedures including thoracentesis and indwelling pleural catheter placement. Under direction, guided by the Committee on Interdisciplinary Practice (“CIDP”) Standardized Process and Outcome Protocols and Procedures of the Ambulatory Services, and in collaboration with the physician staff, the APP provides direct care to patients with multiple, often complicated chronic medical problems. Assignments at this level may include the direction of continuity of care for patients with multiple medical problems; providing direct care to this group of patients, responsibility for occasional community teaching programs, participation in program planning, and development of patient education information. APP consistently projects a professional and courteous demeanor.

• Experience – 1 yr APP exp, exp in pulmonary related procedures
• Experience with chest imaging
• Experience with valves
• Recent oncology experience
• Familiar with thoracentesis and bronchoscopy
