Oncology APP Supervisor – La Jolla, CA

Leadership Experience Required

26-Week Assignment

Assignment Details

* Location: La Jolla, CA

* Start: November 2026

* Duration: 26 weeks

* Provider Type: ACNP or PA

* Schedule: 12-hour shifts, Monday–Sunday

* Clinical/Administrative Split: 60% clinical / 40% administrative

* Experience: 3+ years required

Requirements

* ACNP or PA

* Minimum 3 years of Oncology experience

* Recent inpatient or outpatient leadership experience

* Strong understanding of APP clinical and operational responsibilities, including:

* Patient evaluation, testing, diagnosis, and treatment

* Patient care standards, ethics, and quality improvement

* Outcomes measurement and quality standards

* Staff education and professional development

Position Overview

This role combines clinical oncology care with APP supervisory responsibilities.

Supervisory Responsibilities

* Oversee APPs in daily operations.

* Ensure adherence to ethical and quality standards in patient care.

* Collaborate with senior management on operational and performance matters.

* Develop and implement plans to improve APP functions and integrate services across specialties and departments.

* Support the development and implementation of APP Best Practice Models.

* Ensure professional development opportunities are established and implemented.

Clinical Responsibilities

* Provide oncology care to patients and families in collaboration with faculty.

* Perform examinations and order diagnostic and screening tests.

* Diagnose and treat patients.

* Develop individualized plans of care.

* Maintain accurate documentation of patient histories and care.

* Educate and counsel patients and families.
